The wenchang pagoda is the study object: placed on a desk, associated with examinations and with the kind of concentration that has to be sustained rather than summoned. It is the one traditional remedy whose whole purpose is to sit still in a room where someone is working.
Nine tiers is the count the convention asks for. Thirteen exists and is sold alongside it; nine is the one tied to the scholar tradition rather than to the Buddhist one, which is why we stock it.
We should be straight about how it is made. This is machine-pressed brass, not a hand-poured solid casting — which is what keeps it at 200 g and at this price. A solid cast piece of the same height runs several times heavier and several times the cost, and most of that weight is freight.
Why this object
Wenchang is the deity of literature and examinations, and the pagoda is his object. It belongs on a study desk rather than in a display cabinet — the point of it is proximity to the work.
How to wear or place it
On the desk, in the clarity or study sector of the room or of the desk itself.
Left in place. A remedy that gets picked up and moved around is doing the opposite of what a pagoda is for.

How we choose what we sell
Materials, stated plainly
Every listing names what it is made of. If a stone has been dyed or heat-treated, the listing says so.
Certificates you can check
Where a lab certificate exists we show it with its number, so you can verify it yourself rather than take our word.
No promises we can't keep
We explain the tradition behind each object and where it belongs. We never claim it will bring luck, health or money.
Questions
Is it natural?
The material line above states it exactly. Where we hold a lab certificate it is shown with a number you can verify, and if a stone has been treated the listing says so.
Will it bring me luck?
Honestly: no object does that by itself. Feng shui treats objects as the last step, after placement and the room itself. What this gives you is a carefully chosen object, in the right place, as a daily reminder of what you are working toward.
Where exactly should it go?
That depends on you or your home, which is what the free readings calculate. Each one shows the direction or sector, and why.
Where does it ship from, and how long does it take?
From China. We do not keep stock in a U.S. warehouse: each piece is ordered from the workshop that makes it after you order, packed in Guangdong, and flown to you. Processing takes 1–3 business days and shipping 12–20 business days, so most orders arrive 13–23 business days after they are placed. We ship to the United States only. Shipping is included in the price. U.S. import duties or taxes are not: if any are charged on delivery, the buyer pays them.
Shipping and returns?
Shipping is included in the price, so there is nothing extra to pay at checkout. If a piece arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, tell us within 14 days of delivery and we will send a replacement or refund you in full. The shipping and returns policies are linked beside the Buy button.
